Artistic Journey
I grew up in an era that was saturated with great artwork. Illustrations in books, magazines, comics, and advertising. This was artwork that told a story - images that augmented the written word in powerful ways. I found them intoxicating and it led me to a 40+ year career in commercial art. My recent work is inspired by my lifelong interest in cinema, history and visual storytelling.
Artistic Approach
I use traditional media and sometimes combine it with printmaking techniques or digital media and let the image show me where to take it. My goal is to create compelling images that encourage curiosity in the viewer. What is the story? Who is this person?
